چکیده

Modern computational techniques have greatly influenced the numerical analyses of structures, not only in terms calculation speed, but also procedural approach. In particular, great importance has been given to structural modelling, that is, process by which a structure and actions it is subjected are reduced simplified scheme. The use scheme necessary since structures are, general, considerably complex physical systems whose behaviour large number variables. definition at same time simple enough be easily computable as well sufficiently reliable reproducing main characteristics analysed therefore, crucial task. with reference multi-storey framed buildings, extensive three-dimensional finite element models (FEM) made recent decades researchers engineers. However, an interesting alternative research field concerns possibility studying buildings through equivalent beam-like degrees freedom required effort respect more demanding FEM models. Several proposed single or coupled continuous beams simulate either static dynamic response assuming elastic inelastic constitutive material. this paper, review several scientific papers proposing for presented. Considerations about limits potentialities these included.

Atrium-assisted Natural Ventilation of Multi-storey Buildings

Buoyancy-driven displacement natural ventilation in a simple multi-storey building structure is investigated. The storeys are connected to a common atrium and top-down-chimneys, and the internal heat gains of the storeys are represented by localised point heat sources on each floor. The heat sources generate thermal plumes which entrain the surrounding air and transport warm air upwards. Simple...

On-site greywater treatment and reuse in multi-storey buildings.

The paper presents a study of a pilot plant treating light greywater for seven flats. The pilot plant combines biological treatment (RBC) with physicochemical treatment (sand filtration and disinfection). The pilot plant produced effluent of excellent quality, meeting the urban reuse quality regulations, and was very efficient in TSS turbidity and BOD removal: 82%, 98% and 96%, respectively. CO...

A review of dough rheological models used in numerical applications

The motivation for this work is to propose a first thorough review of dough rheological models used in numerical applications. Although many models have been developed to describe dough rheological characteristics, few of them are employed by researchers in numerical applications. This article reviews them in detail and attempts to provide new insight into the use of dough rheological models.

Simplified design guidelines for seismic base isolation in multi-storey buildings for Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC)

Seismic base isolation is now a days moving towards a very efficient tool in seismic design of structure. Increasing flexibility of structure is well achieved by the insertion of these additional elements between upper structure and foundation as they absorb larger part of seismic energy. However in Bangladesh, this research is still young for building structures. Therefore, this is a burning q...

Critical Points of Prefabricated Reinforced Concrete Wall Systems of Multi-storey Buildings

With respect to the dissipation of energy through plastic deformation of joints of prefabricated wall units, the paper points out the principal importance of efficient reinforcement of the prefabricated system at its joints. The method, quality and amount of reinforcement are essential for reaching the necessary degree of joint ductility. The paper presents partial results of experimental resea...
